Saipem's derrick pipelay barge, Saipem Endeavour (formerly DLB Norce Endeavour) is expected to complete maintenance and minor upgrade work in Dubai Drydocks around mid-August instead of earlier, according to industry sources.

It is understood that upgrade work will cover outfitting of a system for both dual and single pipelay work, among others. Upon completion of yard work, Saipem Endeavour is set to head to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from where it will undergo final preparations for a work programme, located offshore Saudi Arabia. Saipem has several ongoing Saudi Aramco-awarded engineering, procurement, construction and installation projects involving various fields.

The 2010-built Saipem Endeavour was acquired in March 2020 through an option to purchase under Saipem’s bareboat contract with Solstad Offshore.
