Sapura Energy's derrick pipelay barge Sapura 3000 is currently in Johor, Malaysia.

The vessel is expected to transport the drilling platform for Petronas Carigali's Kasawari gas field from Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) to Miri anchorage from 25 June to 1 July. Subsequently, Sapura 3000 will mobilise to Petronas Carigali's Kasawari gas field in SK316 offshore Sarawak around 4 July to commence topside installation for wellhead platform (WHP) KSDP-A for around five days. Sapura Energy's derrick pipelay barge 2000 was deployed for jacket installation scope. MMHE is the main engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning contractor for the 47,000-tonne central processing platform (CPP), 8,600-tonne WHP and a flare structure, in addition to two bridges linking the CPP to WHP and flare structure. Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) is contracted for the T&I (transportation and installation) of multiple jackets, topsides, bridges and flare structure for Kasawari project.

The T&I scope will be executed in two phases, starting with the WHP in 2021 and CPP, flare structure and two bridges in 2022. Sapura Offshore has secured a T&I subcontract from HMC for Kasawari WHP jacket and topside.
